The Rhyd y Blew site is a major development site within the Ebbw Vale Enterprise Zone. The proposed scheme will comprise the design and construction of a new 50,000 sq.ft. (4,645 sq.m.) employment unit with highway access, car parking, footpath and cycleway provision, associated infrastructure and any S106 requirements, services, landscaping, environmental mitigation measures and associated engineering operations.
The site extends to 29.8 hectares of which 13.2 ha is the indicative developable area. The development are was formerly an open cast site (coal and ironstone) between 1970 and 1974.
