Back in March 2014 Rebecca and Barrie in our Cardiff office had the brilliant idea of setting up our own charity tuck box facility, in order to satisfy our ‘munchie’ moments. Each month, every time the treat of a chocolate bar was enjoyed, a crisp was crunched or a piece of fruit filled a gap in an empty tummy all we had to do was take a short walk and visit the tuck box, and at the same time help fundraise.

It was decided that whatever profit was made each month this would be collated, and at the end of the year we would donate the money to a charity of our choice. Thus it was in December, after only 9 months, we were able to present the sum of £900.00 to the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff for their Victory Over Cancer Campaign (http://www.velindrecc.wales.nhs.uk/home).

We’re hoping with a full 12 months of ‘tucking in’ we’ll smash through the £1,000.00 in 2015 for our next chosen charity donation.
